Ryne Sandberg a Cardinal?????

It would be a slap in the face of the Chicago Cubs organization if Sandberg becomes the arch rival, St Louis Cardinals coach. Honestly, I wouldn't have a problem with it at all because the Cubs has had plenty of chances of making him there coach or even a bench coach to get some experience in the big leagues. Even though it would be weird to see him in Cardinal red but I would be happy for him getting a head manager postition if he gets hired!

Week 9 match ups

1. Tampa Bay vs. New Orleans - First of all I think The Saints losing to the rams last week was a total fluke, Ok i got that out the way! Im going with New Orleans to win this game game because they're at home and i don't trust the Bucs all the time. The Bucs dont start off great and if they don't against the Saints, it will be a blowout before you know it. I know Blount is coming back this game and that will help but the receivers need to step up also. If Brees plays interception free football, the Saints will have a nice win!

2. Miami vs. Kansas City - Im going with the Chiefs with a big win. The way the Dolphins has lost the last two games has killed there as if there morale wasn't already shot. I don't think the Chiefs do anything special but I think Dolphins are just that bad!

3. Atlanta vs. Indianapolis - The Falcons are going to throw and run all over the Colts. I'm not saying there going to have a blow out win over them like the Saints did but the Colts can't defend the run or the pass. Plus the Falcons is getting back Julio Jones.

4. N.Y Jets vs. Buffalo - The Bills has been playing some really good football, especially since they have a bunch of 5th and 6th round draft pick players and there QB went to HARVARD but I hate to say it but I'm going with the Jets in this one. They Jets play a very confusing 3-4 defense and i believe it will frustrate Fitzpatrick enough for them to cause some turnovers. Im not a fan of there offense but I still believe they have a top defense and the best corner in the game right now and they will prove it on sunday.

5. Seattle vs. Dallas - The Cowboys has nice pieces on both sides of the ball but i don't think Romo is the answer anymore. I usually have is back but i can't anymore, he's somewhat like the NFL lebron...play great in the first 3 quarters but die out in the 4th! But i think they found there running back of the future in DeMarco murray. I dunno what to say about the Seahawks, they're not bad and they aren't bad. They compete but don't have the right QB either and not enough playmakers on defense to hang with the dallas offense. with an easy pick, Im going with the Cowboys in a bounce back game!

6. Cleveland vs. Houston - I think this would be a better matchup if Peyton Hillis was playing but he's not enough said. I like what Mike holmgren is building in Cleveland but im going with Schaub and that offense to blow out the Browns!

7. San Francisco vs. Washington - I think the 49ers is the one team people aren't talking about but i think they have the right coach for them and Alex smith might of found the system that works for him. They run the ball good enough with Gore, so the ball doesn't have to be in Smiths hands a lot. They are physical on both sides of the ball and they play with a edge. For the Redskins, Im a fan of there defense and they remind me of the Steelers D but that offense is terriable and i dont like ther scheme at all. 49ers with the win and go in to 7-1

8. Cincinnati vs. Tennessee - The Bengals are the biggest Surprise so far at the half way part of the season. They have great parts on both sides of the ball. The Red head bomber is running this offense pretty damn good and that Defense is being physical again but running the ball good again. The Titans has a problem running the ball big time but Javon Ringer is running the ball a lot better than Chris Johnson but the titans will still have running problems this week vs the Bengals. Bengals with the win this week

9. Denver vs. Oakland - RUN DMC probably won't be playing this sunday but they don't need him to beat the Tebow Broncos! The Raiders will do what everybody else did to him, play cover 0 and unload on him and see if he can make the right decision with the ball, which i don't think he will do. Also, Palmer may have a pretty good game more than some people think. The Raiders will blow the Broncos out by the end of the 3rd quarter!

10. N.Y Giants vs. New England - Even though I believe the Steelers has set up the blueprint on how to slow down Tom Brady and the Patriots, The Giants don't have the personnel to do so. They have an awesome front four to attack but the Patriots will kill them with short passes and march down the field. The Giants has a lot of key players will injuries and you don't want that vs the Patriots coming off a lost because I know the Hoodie is mad about last week lost. Patriots with the win but not big.

11. St Louis vs. Arizona - I don't think either team is that good but both have players they can build around but I'm going with the Rams with the win especially since Kevin Kolb has turf toe and its a good chance he doesn't play sunday.

12. Green Bay vs. San Diego - The chargers last week lost is going to haunt them and its too much on there brain to to try to slow down Arod and that offense. The Packers will get after Rivers all game and he's already leading the league in turnovers. Arod with another big game and the Packers move on to 8-0.

13. Chicago vs. Philadelphia - The Eagles seem like there getting there swag back and Vick looks like he's reading the offense like he's suppose to do but i still don't trust the Eagles. The Bears D will do what they do best and get after Vick and Forte will run all over the Eagles and get a close!!!

14. Baltimore vs. Pittsburgh - These games are the next big thing next to the Superbowl. Week 1 was a long time ago and the Steelers has found out who they are and seems like the Ravens Still trying to figure that out week to week. This game will come down to QB play and i believe Big Ben will pick the Ravens apart this week. For the ravens, theyre never on one accord...either the offense is playing good and D isnt' or vice versa. If they do that sunday, they will not leave heinz field with a victory but im still going with Pittsburgh with the win and not just because I'm a Steeler fan!!!!!

So earlier in the week when i heard the Colts was going to be using the franchise tag on Peyton Manning i was very confused about and i didnt understand it. I was thinking why won't they just get a long term deal done and get it out the way. I've had a change of heart about that when i heard that he will be getting 23 Million dollars for his one year franchise tag and then he will get his new deal. I think that works for anybody and any player....lol!

Mr Kobe Bryant says if there is a NBA lockout for next season he would Consider going to Europe to play basketball. My only thing is, will he dominate the game europe if that really did happen? I think he will dominate certain parts of the game. His jump shot would have to money alot because they play alot of zone in Europe but he also would have to bring that A game all the time also because opposing players will bring theres at him all the time! But who knows, it may be another challenge for Kobe so he would just maybe dominate that league also! lol

RELAX...Its only Febuary

First of all, i thought the NBA playoffs started at the end of april through june if you make it to the finals, right...so why is everybody tripping about them being 34-15, oh yeah thats right there suppose to go out and beat the mess out of everybody night in and night out. I know they have some of issues of trying to figure went to let Kobe take over and when to get involved in the offense, Bynum being hurt but theres no surprise right there, and them having some old legs. Remember this is a team that doesn't need to have the number one seed or a two seed. They know how to win on the road in the playoffs. Im not saying there going to run through the playoffs but just count them because of them having some ups and downs at the beginning of Febuary. One thing is promise though, Kobe can't have one of those games he had in game 7 in the finals vs Boston last year or even a bad series period if they want to get another three peat!

Ok, its time to stop saying or asking..."Is Rodgers better than Farve?" People seems to forget how dominate he was in the 1990s because of these years with the retire crap each season and playing for the Jets and Vikings. Favre won 3 MVP awards and went to two super bowls, winning one of them, and also went to the probowl 11 times! I'm not saying Rodgers isn't good, just stop trying to compare them all the time. It's not fair to either one of them. Give Rodgers some time and let's see what happens the next 5-6 years and then we can go from there.

CUTLER GAVE UP!

All i have to say is Jay Cutler has lost respect i had for him. He basically gave up on the bears and he couldn't suck it up all. He says he don't  know when he got hurt at all, really? Then he comes out and plays the first series then doesn't come back in. It's not like this game was in week 3, it was the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP to go to the superbowl and if you win you have two weeks before you even play the superbowl. Plus you also have the offseason to heal you knee or leg...whatever it was. With this happening, i don't even think he was even really hurt vs Giants at the beginning of the season. Does chicago want a quarterback like that to lead them in the future? Thats the big question!!!!!

Two ex Redsox close to one year deals with Tampa Bay?

Manny Ramirez and Johnny Damon are close to heading to Tampa Bay. Ramirez will earn $2 million for one year and Damon will earn $5.25 million with a $750,000 attendance bonus. When this pass season ended everybody was wondering where Ramirez would land, it will very interesting to see Ramirez in the same divison as the RedSox but not so much as Damon because he played with the Yankees. The Rays had to get some hitters after losing some, so lets see if Ramirez and Damon will step up with there bats and help the Rays try to compete with the RedSox and Yankees this season!

Every since last season i've been saying Rodgers is better than Tom Brady and is on his way to be the best Quarterback in the league! i know i know...yall might think im crazy. what im going by is just not this years playoffs. Aaron Rodgers is mixture between Manning, Brady, and Vick! He's smart like Manning and knows how to manage a game, Deadly accuarte like Brady and even better, and can make plays with feet and scramble around and throw on the run and its still Very accurate. I haven't seen play so calm when he blitz or when pressure is in his face since Joe Montana....it's very very hard ti game plan for him. The really scary thing is that he's dominating in his only three playoff starts dating back to january 2010 and he's only to get better because he will have Jermichael Finley back and Ryan Grant next season! The NFL is going to be his league very very very soon!!!!!

Is it hard to consider Tom Brady and the Patriots as dominate team and them having a Dynasty ever since that spy gate situation happen. They havent won a superbowl or a playoff game since all that happen. Will there legacy be tarnished if they never win another superbowl post spygate. I don't doubt that Tom Brady is a good quarter back and Belichek is Great football mine but that will make you 10x better if your taping walkthroughs for a game. Its not like your watching regular games of teams that was already taped but walkthroughs at a practice! Only time will tell of how the rest of careers go.

OK...this past summer Lebron James was critized for not letting the Cleveland Cavs know he wasn't going to resign them next season. Lebron was all type of names and that he embarrassed them on national tv! So now you have Carmelo Anthony who has been up front saying that he doesn't want to be in Denver anymore and that It would be a dream to play in New York for the Knicks. So lately reporters in Denver has been ambushing him about trade talks and acting like there made that he's been up front about the trade talks. Also the crowd, Wednesday night booed him after he scored 35 points in a win vs The OKC Thunder. Everybody in Denver are acting like he's not playing hard for them or something. He's practicing and playing like none of this trade talk is going on right now. You never do anything right in the NBA or in sports in general!

Dirty football?

I just had a interesting converstation with a Jets fan and she says she wants to the Jets to beat the Steelers because they plkay dirty football. They play very very physical all the time and people can take that as dirty. I know james Harrison had those fines because of the hits but I truley believe only one of those hits he should of gotten find for. They love to hit and hit hard and you better be ready to play on both sides of the ball. Do you think there a physical or dirty team?

Well even though its the middle of january, The Ohio State Buckeyes are number one in the mens polls right now.  In the media this week Tomlin and Ryan has been prasing each other and its very surprising to alot of people, and the Jets are going the same route as there coach with them prasing Big Ben for his game changing plays and how hard it is to bring him down with one player. I never thought so soon i would be saying there just might be a player that is more athletic and more of a freak than Lebron James! Blake is so powerful, fast, quick on his feet, and is jumping ability is through the roof. He's showing he can dribble and can take players off the dribble...he's showing his 15 footer and step back shot more and more now. Blake is somewhat of an combination of Dwight, Shaq, Kemp, and Barkley. He has all the skills of those players. I believe with him having surgery and him sitting out his first year helped him get even stronger and work on his NBA game and its showing. At first he was just the highlight reel but now its highlight reel and showing his overall basketball skills.

Are they for real?

The Spurs are off to an 35-6 start and they just keep rolling and rolling. They scary thing about them is that they've always been a defensive minded team but now they're scoring big and play defense like always. The key is that they're all healthy again and the Spurs organization has always been good at finding the undrafted players or late rounders and turning them into stars or great role players. A lot of people think they will fall off when it comes to the playoffs. The thing they have going for them is that they have won 4 championships, they know how long a 82 game season is plus playoffs, and they've beaten a Phil jackson coached Lakers team in a 7 game series before. In my opionion, they're the only team that has chance of beating them in a series right now but until that happens the LA Lakers are still the NBA champions!

Even with there week 17 telecast of the Seahawks vs. The Rams they was still number one...that shows how powerful and popular football is. Whenever there is a lot quarterback talk, people tend to forget about Big Ben. Is it because he's not your poster boy QB or traditional drop QB or he plays back yard football sometimes!? When I have talks with people about quarterbacks they don't believe in him or have him in the top 5 in the league and I believe he's there. He he came into the NFL in 2004 and he's on the verge of becoming 11-2 in the playoffs with 3 rings! He's a gamer and when the lights come on he finds a way to help his team when the game. The game that really put him on the map was superbowl 43 and that last drive he had agaisnt the cardinals to win the game. Just give it some thought....

Next year is now!

Will we ever see the chicago cubs go to the world series and win a championship!? With me being a long time cubs fan I know I want to see it so bad but its frustrating with the moves the make for the team all the time and they don't work! What's even more frustrating is that the Flordia Marlins who has been in the Majors for about 20 years have two rings, what is that! On another note I think its out fault as fans because we sell out wrigley every game even if there not playing good and the owners see that. Rose for MVP!

Why don't alot more people give Derrick Rose the credit he deserves. He improves each season, whatever is downfall is...he works on it in the offseason and it shows during the season. With the team he has right now and what he avg, he should defintely should be in the conversation for MVP this year and should start in the allstar game. In my opinion he's a top two Point Guard right now behind D williams in! Rose can score, play D, rebound, shoot the midrange, the three, and can take over the game when he has to. He defintely comes to play when he's on the same stage with the other big names in the NBA. He said in a interview, "whats the point of playing this game if ur not trying to be the best and i believe i can be the best in the league!" Right there shows me he's ready for the big stage!

Peyton Manning is a very very good quarterback and there is no doubt about that at all, but i dont think we will see Manning win another superbowl because of the team he is on not beacause he isn't a good quarterback. they reliy on him too much to win games. year in and year out they never have a good defense and there defense never make big stopes to help him. The running is always nowhere to be found. The only way he gets another ring before he retires is if they get some better defense personel and a much improved running game!

Predictions

At the beginning of the season i picked Packers vs Steelers for the superbowl and i'm going to stick with that! i just believe the packers are more talented from top to bottom than the bears. the game will probably come down to quarterback play and which quarterback will make more plays and less mistakes.Aaron Rodgers has the edge over Cutler all day long! The Packers have been playing been playing playoff football since week 16 and they will continue that mind set into superbowl 45. And for the steelers, i have two words for you....BIG BEN, he is baller on the big stage! he is 9-2 in the playoffs with 2 rings and is on the verge on going 11-2 with 3 rings and there is a very good chance that will happen. OH YEA! the steelers defense pretty good also! haha

i dont know what to think about this nfc championship next week. you have a packers team that is play some hot football right with aaron rodgers just picking everybody apart right now and a clay matthews ran defense is just playing shutdown defense, then you have jay cutler who is such a gunslinger but showed today he's ready the big stage. he just needs to stay calm in the pocket next week because woodson and matthews is coming for him! as for the bears Defense, they cant relax towards the end like they did today vs the seahawks. they have to put pressure on rodgers and mix up there packages. its hard to blitz him but if u have to the corners have to stand there ground and not ge burned! thats all right now on the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP...im out!
